The Bruce Trail at Hilton Falls

This time we decided to start at Hilton Falls, follow the side trail east and enter the Bruce Trail there.  Autumn is really here.  This is the first time we find the trees bare.  The walk was nice and easy, only 9 km round trip.  There are some rocky parts but overall was a nice 3 hour walk.  We started with a shower of ice pellets and ended the same way but in between the weather was reasonable though a little windy.

Here are the pictures:

Crawford Lake with the guys

A cloudy fall day.  The grandsons slept over so we decided to give it a try and see if we could tire them.  So off to Crawford Lake we went.

The day was cool and cloudy when we started walking around 10:30 am.  We follow the Bruce Trail to the edge of the escarpment and then stop at the lookout from there we walk back towards the lake, we walked around the lake and ended with picnic lunch  by the Indian village.  By then the sun had come out and we had a beautiful cool day.

Here are the pictures:

With lots of great rocks for climbing

And then we arrived at the edge of the canyon

And at the lookout.  The colours on the trees are still bright reds and orange

And then we arrived to the lake

And walk around the lake

After lunch we went to visit the Indian village
